24K Dragon Slot

24k dragon is a November 19th slot release from developer Play’N Go. Taking on the fantasy adventure type genre it is somewhat remindful the Hobbit, with the Dragon fiercely guarding his treasure whilst you try to sneak in and bag some of it. There are expanding reels and a free spins bonus round which see the extra ways to win added. Other than that it’s a fairly basic setup with not too much happening.

How it Pays and Plays

You get a volatility which is marked down as being 8/10 along with a max big max win potential of 24,000x , echoing the name of the game and actually quite unusual for Play’N Go to offer such a high win, we’ve got used to the same old 5,000x as being the top. There are initially 1028 ways to win in play which goes up in increments and can reach a 8192 paylines. You can stake between 0.2 and 100 coins per spin. There are 4 extra rows which can come into play on top on the normal grid, each row contains 3 extra symbols, giving you a maximum of 12 further symbols to be included in spins. 

Treasure Wild Multiplier Symbols

In both the base game and the free spins you have 3 types of Wild symbols which substitute for all other symbols apart from the Scatters. These are the basic Wild symbol, then the 2 Wild multiplier and finally the 4x Wild multiplier. You can also get more than one of these on any given spin and payline, in which case they will multiply each other and can cause some mega big wins as you can see in our demo video. The maximum the multiplier can reach up to is 64x when combined. 

24k Respin

If you land a golden dragons head symbol during the base game you well get a respin. Here you will see the reels expanding to show the 4 rows above the normal grid. You’ll see that a random number of these rows become unlocked, creating up to 8192 ways to win for that single spin. 

Dragon Free Spins

If you land 3, 4 or 5 Scatter symbols you’ll get 8, 15 or 20 initial free spins. These can be retriggered by landing 2, 3, 4 or 5 ore Scatter which will give you 5, 8, 15 or 20 free spins extra. 

The extra rows will be in view during the free spins and you can unlock them one at a time to bring extra ways to win into play. You do this by landing golden dragon heads, getting 3 will unlock the first row, then 4 more will unlock the second row, 4 more for the 3rd row and another 4 for the final row to reveal the maximum ways to win. However, doing this certainly won’t guarantee big wins but it will no doubt improve your chances. 

Graphics

The reels on 24k Dragon are framed in stone pillars and have a transparent background. You can see that it is located in the dragons liar which is filled with gold and treasure. 

Lower paying symbols include Ace through to 10 playing cards. Premium symbols are a lion with a blue gemstone on his forehead, some emeralds, 2 swords sticking out of a pile of gold, a fire breathing dragons head on some rubies and finally a golden fire breathing dragons head surrounded by gold. 

Wild symbols are gold and red  treasure chests. Scatter symbols are diamonds. 

Overall the graphics are good, the symbols are well detailed and the sound effects and music go well together. However, it does lack a little of the charm i was initially hoping for from this game.
