The Nigerian bookmaker Fortune Bets has added to its betting shop product with the launch of a dedicated greyhound racing channel from Vermantia.
One of the fastest growing bookmakers in Africa, Fortune Bets will be able to improve its in-store betting offer with comprehensive coverage of over 40,000 greyhound races every year, including contests from the United Kingdom, United States, and Australia.
Under the terms of the partnership with Vermantia, Fortune Bets retail betting outlets will host a racing channel that is run by the Vermantia ‘CONNECT’ platform which features a complete data and odds service, along with integrated Bet Acceptance Systems and Cashier functions.
Speaking about the deal with Vermantia, the Chief Executive of Fortune Bets, Prince Greatness Osode, said that his company was delighted to be linking up with their new partners:
“We strongly believe that this partnership will lead us to further success, as Vermantia is a highly-regarded supplier with the best live racing channels that the market has to offer.”
Ultimate Live Greyhound Channel
Back in 2017, Vermantia entered a partnership with Arena Racing Company (ARC) to develop what it named its ‘Ultimate Live Greyhound Channel’ in order to bring greyhound racing to Africa. The Nigerian betting market has been growing rapidly in recent years and according to some reports is on course to overtake the betting industries of Kenya and South Africa by the end of the decade.
The new deal with Fortune Bets is Vermantia’s second arrangement with a betting provider, having launched its live product with YangaBet in December 2017.
The Regional Director for Vermantia, Spyros Stavropoulos, said that he was hopeful that the company’s live greyhound racing betting product would prove popular with Fortune Bets customers, and would enable Fortune Bets to focus on their core business.
