Foxwoods Resort Casino Voted Best Casino Outside Vegas

There is always interest in the USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Foxwoods Resort Casino is now the proud owner of one of their awards, for they have just been awarded the honour of being voted the best casino outside of Vegas.

It was not a hard won battle for that award as you may have thought, for whilst there were plenty of casinos nominated, when you take into account the nine million square foot of Foxwoods and the huge number of facilities and amenities inside, it was going to take an even more outstanding casino property to get more votes than Foxwoods did to win that award, and it would appear there were none.

The vote was fair and above board of course, for an elected panel of judges initially nominated their personal favourite casinos, and then an open vote was carried out by readers of USA Today.

If you have yet to visit Foxwoods Casino Resort then it is an amazing place it does have to be said, it is in fact the biggest casino in North America and in total there are six casinos on the property. So, if you do enjoy gambling you will certainly find plenty of things to gamble on.

However, it is not all about the gambling at Foxwoods, for they have hotels, a golf course, spas, theatres and its own shopping mall, plus lots, lots more too. In fact, if you are planning a visit then do ensure that you set aside plenty of time for your visit, for you are going to find no end of things to do, irrespective of whether you want to gamble or not.

Foxwoods is also a long established venue too, for it was opened way back in the year 1992, and it is the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation that own and operate the casino.
