Summary
Hyper Burst is a good looking slot, as you would expect from Yggdrasil Gaming. However, the lack of a free spins round and lack of bonus features, relying entirely on the Hyper Respins, seems a little shallow at times. It is a nifty little function in itself and can very rapidly lead to some big wins with it’s expanding MegaReels but I would definitely like to have seen a wider range of bonuses.

Symbols and Graphics
Hyper Burst slot is set on a the background of what looks like a tropical forested landscape with mountains in the background whilst the slot grid is set on a volcano, which you’re hoping will erupt and “burst” into life as the name would suggest, to trigger it’s hyper spins feature. When the volcano does burst into life it will spew lava over the GigaReel as it expands and reveals a symbol.
There are 4 low paying symbols which start at the Jack through to Ace playing cards. Premium symbols are all different coloured masks of which the red mask is the top paying and will give you 8x for 6 of a kind.

Hyper Burst Respins
Hyper Burst slot is all about this function and it will trigger on every winning spins. How it works is that each win you get will see the volcano wake up and spew some lava to create a 2×2 mega symbol. This will be located somewhere on the middle four reels. If you get another win from this then you get another respin but this time the 2×2 will turn into a 3×3 megareel and one more consecutive win sees it transform to a 4×4 covering the middle 4 reels.
Wins also increase the multiplier starting a 2x after the first win, then 3x, 5x and finally 10x. This really helps to stack up the big wins quickly if you get consecutive winning combos, though, as you would expect, it’s not that easy to get these hit streaks, so it perhaps feels a bit deceptively easy to rack up the big wins when it isn’t actually the case.
