Long Delay Until the Re-Opening of the River Spirit Casino

The quite dramatic footage that has been released by news outlets and on social media regarding the flood water surrounding the River Spirit Casino, does give the impression that casino resort has taken the full force of mother nature.

In fact, the casino’s management have just announced that due to the current high-water levels on the Arkansas River, the casino resort is not going to be open throughout June, and as such anyone that had booked to stay there will find their reservation cancelled.

It was last week on the 22nd of May that a decision was made on the grounds of health and safety that the River Spirit Casino was to be evacuated and closed, and the venue has stayed closed to members of the public ever since that day.

The venue is of course going to take a massive financial hit from that flooding, for not only are gamblers going to be forced to have to find somewhere else to gamble, but many people had also booked tickets for the now cancelled shows by Steve Miller, Marty Stuart and Luann de Lesseps.

It is only the pool and the spa that have so far been impacted by the flooding, for thankfully the hotel, restaurants and the two gaming floors at the River Spirit Casino have not been affected by the rising flood water.

As for just when the resort will be fully open again, well that is of course anybody’s guess, however it is now looking like it will be at some point in July that the resort will be fully open to guests and visitors again at the earliest.
