Daily Fantasy Sports and betting operator DraftKings has extended its reach in the state of New Jersey with a new partnership involving the Resorts Casino Hotel.
The hotel is the first of its kind to open in New Jersey, and under the terms of the deal, Draft Kings will launch a betting operation at the hotel. According to Draft Kings, the new sports betting service will open its doors at the end of the month, and is close to completion, although it has yet to earn approval from New Jersey’s Division Of Gaming Enforcement.
The sports betting area will be designed to offer a complete sports betting experience in Atlantic City, the first combined casino, hotel and sports book venue in the state. The sports betting outlet will offer a wide range of sports betting opportunities, including live in-play betting, and will provide five betting windows and twelve kiosks through which people can make their bets.
The venue will also feature ultra-high-definition video screens, a VIP area, luxurious seats with chargers, and a full service bar, offering food and beverages.
Immersive and entertaining
Commenting on the announcement, the President and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, Mark Giannantonio, said that he was proud to be offering an innovative sports betting service:
Once completed, the new on-property retail space will bring an immersive and entertaining gaming experience for our guests and sports fans alike, ensuring the best sports betting scene in Atlantic City.”
The deal, which has been weeks in the planning, adds to Draft King’s presence in the state, which was the first to officially introduce sports betting following the Supreme Court decision in May. The Draft Kings online sportsbook, which is available to New Jersey residents, has been live since August.
