Spectre Estate Slot

spectre estate slot

Spectre Estate slot is a joint effort from Microgaming and Just for the Win, set for release in September 2020. The action takes place in a big old haunted mansion, the “Spectre Estate” if you will. Should you be craving a little bit of spooky themed slot action could this be your go to game? Is it a Woman in Black 1989 BBC classic or is it more of Paranormal Activity 5, basically, will it thrill you or will it bore you into a coma!? Lets find out in our full review of Spectre Estate.

Summary

Spectre Estate, although being packed with bonus features and having good graphics and an interesting soundtrack, perhaps misses the mark a little. Complaints of too many dead spin patches may be common and a higher max win potential would be nice to see. A good slot for a bit of Halloween fun or for whenever you get the urge to play a ghost themed slot but we doubt it will be up there with players favourites.

How it Pays and Plays

The ghostly reels spin on a 5 reels 4 row grid with 40 paylines set on the background of the staircase of the haunted mansion.

The RTP is set at an average 96.12%

The max win available is just 2,219x, which is not appealing when you consider that Spectre Estate is classed as a High Volatility slot

The hit frequency is around 1 in 5, at just over 20%.

Stakes range from 10p/cents for a spin up to a pretty tasty $/£/€100.

Symbols and Graphics

Lower paying symbols include Card suits, spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds.

Premium symbols are a purple shirted man with headphones on, a woman with pink/black hair and the game logo symbol.

Wilds are a Green Ghostly figure which subs for any symbol with the same value as the game logo symbol.

A blue Spectre ghost woman is the “Feature” symbol. You’ll need 2 or more of these to activate the bonuses. More on this below.

The background is well designed and helps to add a real ghostly/spooky feel to things and the symbols themselves look the part. The soundtrack provides a sense of mystery to things too, fitting well with the game.

Bonus Features

Spectre Estate is packed with bonus features. Above each reel there is an extra row which displays randomly adjusting features which correspond to the reels below them. You need to land 2 or more of the blue Spectre symbols in view to activate these bonus features. There are a total of 7 different features, only 5 of which can be in play at any one time. These include the following.

1x to 2x Bet: This will give you either a 1x or 1x multiplier from any wins formed on that spins.

+Wild: This adds additional Wilds to the reels to help form winning lines.

Wild 2x/Wild 3x: Adds 2x or 3x to any Wild symbols present.

Expanding Wild: Expands any Wild symbol to cover the entire reel it is on.

Free Spins: You will be awarded with 8 free spins.

If any of the Wild modifiers land you’ll get a respin too, however, it isn’t possible to get any other modifiers into play during this respin.

Triggering the free spins will also see any modifiers you have in place carried over to the free spins round. If you land further feature symbols during the free spins you can also trigger an extra 2 free spins.
