So, does Kings of Gold provide anything new for players to get excited about and can the RTP of just 95.14% be overlooked? See what we thought in the full Kings of Gold slot review below.

Summary

Kings of Gold looks the part and the background is pretty epic looking whilst the reels standout well. The Pharaoh respins feature can rack up some nice wins once the Pharaoh symbol appears and that makes the bonus quite exciting to play through. The free spins are a little bland though and a chance of a retrigger would have been nice. The biggest issue though is the RTP at 95.14%. It’s simply too low, and the max win of just 1,121x is not particularly appealing either.

How it Pays and Plays

Kings of Gold takes place on 5 reels with 3 rows and 25 paylines.

There is a max win potential of 1,121x, which isn’t particularly appealing, Combine this with a really poor default RTP of 95.14% and we’re already getting a bad feeling about this one.

Stakes range from 25p/cents up to $/£/€25

Bonus features include a free spins round with the potential for synched reels and also a Pharaohs Gold respins feature.

Symbols and Graphics

Kings of Gold is set on a pretty epic looking desert background with a man riding a camel in the foreground and the pyramids rising up into the sky in the background. There’s also an oasis and some mountains visible. It’s a great setting for the game and might make you feel like travelling to the pyramids yourself!

The reels themselves are framed in gold and have a black background which really makes them standout.

The symbols on the low end of the payscale are Jacks through to Aces. They are followed by some pretty standard Egyptian slotting imagery for the premium symbols. They include a golden cat, a jewelled scarab beetle, a jewelled hieroglyphic symbol and a treasure chest as the top payer at 16x for 5 of a kind.

Wild symbols are a Golden Pharaoh which can appear stacked and this can substitute for any symbol except for the Scatters or the Gold Coin symbols which trigger the Respins Feature.

Scatter symbols are Pyramid symbols.

Pharaoh’s Gold Respins Bonus

This is triggered by landing 5 or more Gold Coin symbols on any single spin. Each coin will have a monetary value written on it. You get to have 3 respins each time to try to land a new Gold Coin, if you do land one the respins reset back to 3. However, the bonus will end when you go 3 respins without landing a new coin.

The twist on this is the Golden Pharaoh symbol. Which if you land it during the repsins, will collect the value of all the coins, and then remove them. This opens up a load of new spaces to land Gold Coin symbols. You can also land multiple Golden Pharaoh symbols to stack up the wins and it’s this element which makes this bonus game stand out.

Free Spins Bonus

Land 3 Scatter to trigger 8 free spins in the bonus feature. These will show up on reels 1, 3 and 5. Unfortunately this is the maximum amount of free spins available and you can’t land additional Scatters for extra spins or a retrigger.

During the free spins you’ll see that between 2 and 5 reels can randomly change to be framed in fire, these reels will all synchronise show the same symbol.
