Over in Philadelphia the Harrah’s Casino and Racetrack has recently been going through something of a major remodel and renovation, and the final stage of the project of the once admittedly tired looking venue has been the completion of its brand-new poker room.
Harrah’s have made no secret that they are actively seeking out a new breed of customer to that venue and are hoping their fresh-looking poker room is going to start tempting players from wide and far to give it a try.
It was back at the start of the year that they finished their new sportsbook, and early indications are that is has proven to be something of a wise investment, for it has been pulling in punters since it opened, which is something their new poker room is expected to do too.
What should make that poker room appealing to professional players is that there are now 27 tables on offer and the casino does plan on staging plenty of poker tournaments moving forward, many of which will be World Series of Poker tournaments.
Visitors to the sportsbook especially are not going to miss the poker room for it has been placed directly next door to it, and as such anybody that does like a bet and enjoys playing poker is going to be well catered for at Harrah’s.
The poker room opened on Friday and much like when the ribbon cutting was performed on their new sportsbook, plenty of people were on hand to watch that new venue being opened and took the opportunity to take a look around. It will, of course, only now be a matter of time until Harrah’s discover whether the revamping of their poker room was a worthwhile investment or not.
