If there is one thing that you can be assured of when visiting any land based casino, it is at some point in time you are going to be offered the chance of taking part in some type of promotional offer.
The bigger the casino the more promotional offers you will find, and some of the things you could win, earn or even get given are cash prizes, electronic merchandise or even a brand new car.
However, there are always going to be all manner of terms and conditions that you will have to abide by no matter what type of promotion you take part in, and it is the terms and conditions or the apparent lack of that has just caused a woman to file a lawsuit against the Rivers Casino Resort.
It would appear that the Albany woman who is believed to be Deanna Dipofi, had earned herself at least one entry into a draw to win a car, but not just any car, a brand new Jaguar, or there was also the option of declining it and accepting a cash prize of $25,000 instead.
As luck would have it her name was drawn out of the machine, however she was not present at the casino at the time of the draw and as such the casino then drew the name of another winner instead, which is standard practice in such cases.
Once she heard about this she decided that as there was no warning or asterisks upon her draw ticket that informed customers that they had to be present at the time of the draw she would take the casino to court to get them to reinstate her prize!
This should be an interesting case but one that does go to prove if you are taking part in any promotional offers you should always read through the terms and conditions, and make a point of finding them if they are not clearly displayed anywhere!
