Summary
The Grand Galore looks a little bland graphically and seemed to be lacking in attention grabbing modifiers. The bonus teases were also one of the most frustrating I’ve experienced for a while, where the final Scatter kept rolling in on the top right hand reel and just pulling back out of view at the last second, I like a good tease but this one just felt annoying. There is clearly big potential though with its 10,000x max win and once you get onto a roll with the respins and expanding reels is where the game can really come alive.

How it Pays and Plays
You’ll start with 6 reels and 4 rows in play. The 4 rows can expand up to 10 rows. This takes us from 4096 ways to win up to a maximum of 1 million ways to win when all rows are active.
The volatility is rated as 8/10, so not extreme but still pretty high up the scale.
The RTP is set at 96% flat which is pretty much bang on average for an online slot in 2020.
The hit frequency is 22.9% so you’ll see a winning spin on average every 4 to 5 spins.
The base game offers opportunities to score some big wins with its expanding reels but you’ll always be looking to land the free spins bonus round.
Symbols and Graphics
Lower paying symbols are, you guessed it, Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces.
Premium symbols include a diamond, a ruby, an emerald and a sapphire and finally a golden panther studded with rubies as the top paying.
Wild symbols substitute for all other symbols except for the Scatters. They simple have a golden “W” on them.
The Scatters are diamonds with “BONUS” written on them on a red background.
The graphics all look very elegant and luxurious with bold symmetrical shapes lots of jewels. The soundtrack is quite relaxing but a perhaps a bit too close to elevator music to add much of an atmosphere to the game.
Expanding Reel Respins
Each time you form a winning line of 3 or more symbols you’ll find that each reel which was part of the winning combo will expand one row. This can happen until you have a maximum of 10 rows across all reels, bring into play the 1 million ways to win. The reels involved with the win will keep respinning and expanding until no further wins have been landed. Then it will reset to the original 4096 ways to win.
Stacked Respins
When the reels expand as the result of a win, any reels which respin and are stacked on top of each other will always stop on the same symbol.
Synched Respin
When the reels respin after a winning combo you can also trigger a synched respin. Here you’ll see between 2 to 5 reels located next to each other synchronise to spin in the same symbol.
Free Spins Bonus
Land 3, 4, 5 or 6 Scatter symbols to get 10, 15, 20 or 25 free spins awarded. Every 5th spin will also result in a synchronised respin to up the winning potential. The free spins can also be triggered by landing another 3 Scatter symbols.
The reels also do not stay expanded after each spin, if you miss a winning combo on any spin they revert to the 4096 ways to win. It would perhaps be asking a bit too much to hope that this was the case!
