Never one to miss out on a new business opportunity, Fred Done the owner of the Betfred gambling empire is looking to expand into the very lucrative and relatively new sports betting environment over in the USA.
With many U.S States now embracing land based, online and mobile sports betting, thanks to new laws brought in recently in America that has opened those gambling environments in states other than just Nevada, many land-based casinos are opting to open sportsbooks in their respective venues.
One company that was at the forefront of offering casino operators in the U.S as off the shelf type solution for all their sportsbook needs and requirements was William Hill, and they have somewhat stolen a march on BetFred, however that may be about to change.
BetFred have teamed up with a company called SCCG Management in Las Vegas, and they have been tasked with pushing the betting services offered by Fred and his team across all U.S. States, and it looks like that company has already bagged their first casino operator.
It is Elite Casino Resorts in Iowa that has been suitably impressed enough with BetFred, to give them the contract to operate that casinos soon to be launched online and mobile sports betting operation, subject of course to regulatory approval.
The U.S. gambling market is one that many UK based betting and gambling companies have always been eager to enter, much more so with the recent massive loss of income experienced by betting companies across Great Britain with the reductions imposed on them by the U.K Government regarding the stakes at which their Fixed Odds Betting Terminals can operate.
Hopefully Betfred will start to make massive inroads in the U.S. online and mobile betting market, and if they do so they are bound to give William Hill, the current market leaders, a run for their money.
