Valley of the Gods 2 slot picks up on where it’s predecessor left off and introduces some new elements to give the game an extra kick and appeal to players looking for another dose of Egyptian themed slotting. Have they hit the mark though, will it be a Pharaoh Roche of the slots world or more of a 10p bag of Space Raiders, read our review to find out more.
Valley of the Gods 2 brings an interesting format to the world of online slot, providing something a little different to your standard slot machine. It has certainly improved on the first edition, which in itself was a thoroughly enjoyable game to play. It’s quite exciting wit the use of the respins feature when you get close to triggering the bonus round, a bit like a mega tease where the 2 Scatters land on the first 2 reels of a slot and you still have 3 reels left to land that final Scatter, that’s pretty much how it felt waiting to see if you could knock those last tiles out of place. The 3 modifier features in the bonus round also add a great touch to things, proving a further level of excitement to the game, especially the Wild reel which can really contribute to some big wins. Overall, Valley of the Gods 2 is worth trying out, you might love it or it might just seem a little bit too out of the ordinary for your tastes, perhaps. Definitely more Pharaoh Roche than Space Raiders though.
- Interesting Respins Feature
- Bonus Game Modifiers With Extra Lives, Multipliers and Wild Reels

- Might Not Be To All Players Tastes

How it Pays and Plays
Valley of the Gods 2 starts off with an initial 240 ways to win on 6 reels with a somewhat unusual setup of just one symbols on reel 1, 2 on reel 2, 3 on reel 3, 4 on reel 5 and then just 2 on reel 6. To get a win you just need 3 symbols of the same in a row. There aren’t really paylines so to speak, the symbols can land anywhere on the reels, just so long as they are next to each other.
The symbols range in value from the playing cards 9 through to Ace as your lower valued ones, then the premium symbols are the Gods, including Horus, Anubis, Sobek, and Bastet the cat god who is your top symbols giving you a 20x for a full line, which in Valley of the Gods 2, is 6 of kind.
The game has a hit rate of just under 18% which will see wins spin in around once every 5 spins played.
Wild Symbols do not exist in the base game, unfortunately, however, if you manage to reach the bonus round then you’ll be likely to see see Wild Reels which will place themselves randomly on any given reel.
Scatter Symbols also don’t work in the traditional slots type way, instead being unleashed only in the bonus round.
Each time you get a winning combination the reels will respin until no more combinations are formed, or until you get the bonus round to trigger as it detailed below.
Bonus Round Feature
Each time you land a winning combination the number of symbols in that combination will cause a corresponding number of scarab beetles to fly off and and each will remove a tile to uncover extra spaces for symbols on the reels. The reels will then respin keeping the removed tiles gone and if you get enough wins in a row on consecutive winning spins to create enough scarabs to uncover all the tiles (you’ll need 16) then the bonus round starts. You begin this bonus with one extra life, meaning that if any given respin doesn’t result in a win you’ll get a further respin to try and continue the bonus – the bonus ends when you you have no extra lives left and a respin doesn’t reults in a win
21,160 Ways To Win and Scarab Scatter Feature Meters
Once the reels are fully opened up you have the potential of 21,160 ways to win. The 3 Scatter Symbols will also come into play. This works by each time a winning combination is formed you’ll find that the scarab symbols which come with them now turn either yellow, red or blue. These correspond to various bonus meters which you want to fill, getting 5 of any given colour will fill the meter. The bonuses are as detailed below.
Extra Lives: Every 5 red scarabs you get will fill the Extra life meter and give you one more life to play with. The more the better!
Wild Reels: Get 5 yellow scarabs and the meter will fill to give you a randomly placed Wild reel. This will stay in place until either the end of the feature round or the end of any given rseries of spins without a win.
Multipliers: 5 blue scarabs will give you an extra 1x multiplier on following respins.
Ever get annoyed at having to reset your autospins after they hit the max of what is generally 100? If so then Valley of the Gods 2 has you covered. It will let you select anything from 10 and infinity autospins, just be careful not to walk away and forget about the game somehow as you might come back to a surprise when you check your balance! Hopefully a good one!
