Clearwater Casino Blackjack Dealer Charged with Cheating

casino cheat concept

If there is one game that is always going to be watched and supervised very closely in any land based casino is it the game of Blackjack.

The very first line of defence for any casino is the Dealer, then there is the Pit Boss and ultimately the eye in the sky, those being the many CCTV cameras that are monitored closely by a casinos security team who will be looking for anybody trying to cheat when playing Blackjack.

However, it is not only players that casinos have to look out for crossing over to the dark side so to speak, every now and then a Dealer could be working in collusion with a player or team of players, and when that happens it can cost a casino dearly.

Over at the Clearwater Casino in Suquamish one Dealer has just been arrested for allegedly peeking at the cards in the shoe and letting players know whether they should hit or stand their hand.

That Dealer is Steven Darnell Singer, a 19 year old dealer, and he has just been charged over at the Kitsap County Superior Court with the very serious felony of first degree cheating.

It was in fact another Dealer that sussed out what he was doing, and once that Dealer told his supervisors the CCTV footage of the game was reviewed and that is what led to the teenagers arrest and subsequent court appearance.

Singer is now being held in the Kitsap County Jail and is being held on $10,000 bail and will soon have to plead on the case before a judge.
