Gonzo's Quest Megaways Slot Stats
How it Pays and Plays
First up Gonzo’s Quest Megaways makes use of 117,649 maximum ways to win. This comes in the format of 6 reels which each have anything from 2 to 7 rows on them.
The maximum win is just over 20,000x, which is very reasonable and gives you the potential for some pretty big wins even on lower stakes. However, betting ranges only from 20p/cents through to 4$/£/€ which doesn’t exactly make it a high roller slot.
The RTP is bang on average at 96%.
Symbols and Graphics
It was always going to be of vital importance that this revamp caught the essence of what made the original Gonzo’s Quest slot so attractive, and it’s good to say that they have done just that. The visuals have even been improved upon with this makeover.
The premium symbols consist of a range of masks which are very similar to the first edition though Gonzo’s Quest Megaways has added on higher paying symbol to the top o the paytable. You’ll get 15x for 6 of a kind which is by far the highest paying, the next closest symbol value wise will give just 4x for of a kind.
Lower paying symbols are 4 different animals in profile view carved onto the stones, they give from 0.8x to 0.5x for 6 of a kind.
Unbreakable Wild Symbols
Wild symbols are a nice added feature of Gonzo’s Quest Megaways as they are “unbreakable”, usually a Wild would disappear in the typical cascading wins way that is typical of Megaways slots, here they will remain though. You can get 1 unbreakable Wild to lan in the first 3 rows and one in the 2nd 3 rows, so you’ll only ever have 2 active at one time.
The Earthquake feature can trigger randomly and it will see that all lower paying symbols crumble and disappear, leaving you with only higher paying symbols to take their place, this can result in some nice winning combination potential.
This is basically the cascading wins multiplier we see in Megaways slot. In the base game with each win you’ll see the winning symbols crumble to make way for new ones, the next win, if there is one, will go from 1x to 2x, then up to 3x and if you get 4 or more avalanche wins in a row they will all have a 5x multiplier. Once no more wins are formed the next spin will reset to a 1x multiplier.
Free Fall Symbols and Free Spins Bonus
To get to the free spins round you need to have 3 or more Free Fall Symbols land in on any one spin – this will award you with 9 free spins. For each extra symbol you get another 3 spins added. Free spins can also be retriggered by landing another 3 of these symbols and you’ll get the full 9 spins added to your total. This is where the bonus round can really start to mount up, provided it doesn’t dead spin you!
The multipliers are also increased during the free spins round, starting at 3x, then 6x, 9x and finally 15x for 4 or more avalanche wins in a row. Once the free spins end the avalanche wins are also carried over to the base game until any winning spins fail to land, which is a nice little addon to keep the bonus round excitement going on.
