reactoonz 2

Reactoonz 2 slot is an October 1st 2020 release from Play’N Go. It’s a hotly anticipated slot which many players have been hoping would be produced due to the immense popularity of the first version from 2017. This time we see the max win potential upped slightly to 5,083x as opposed to the original versions 4,570x and also the default RTP is heightened by a little, up to 96.2%. Let’s take a further look at what’s changed in Reactoonz 2 below.

Summary

Reactoonz 2 is a delight to play and follows up brilliantly from the original. If you’re a fan of cluster pays type slots you will likely enjoy this game, even if you’re not generally a fan of this format, which I am not, it’s one of the few which could still keep you entertained.

How it Pays and Plays

7 reels and 7 rows are where Reactoonz 2 plays out the action. You score winning combos when you get 5 symbols clustered together vertically and horizontally. However, diagonally doesn’t count. The max win is 5,083x which was is good as when Play’N Go first announced the Details of Reactoonz 2 they gave the max win as just 3,000x but changed it shortly after, much to the delight of many players.

You can play from 0.2 coins up to 100 coins of your chosen currency which will cover most players budgets. It is a high variance slot though, so it’s always a risk that you might not get much back for your money.

There are a range of new bonuses and “Electric Wilds” which we will look at in detail below.

Symbols and Graphics

There are 4 lower paying symbols. The first of which is a miserable looking one eyed yellow character, which is the only symbol that doesn’t sport a smile. Then you have a green, a red and a purple character.

Premium symbols are, in ascending order, a blue, an orange, a green and a pink Reactoonz.

Then you have the Energoon Wild, which is a mini version of the Gargantoon Wild symbol.

Finally, there are Electric Wild and Uncharged Wilds. These work in a slightly complicated manner as is detailed below.

Electric Wilds: These sub for any symbol and if there are 2 next to each other they will destroy all symbols on the grid, cuasing a completely new cascade. If this leaves more than 2 Wilds intact then a diagonal line will form between two of the Wilds and they destroy all symbols in that line and symbols around them.

Uncharged Wilds: These are inactive symbols. However, if you get 2 or more Electric Wilds activated on the grid then you’ll see that they turn into Electric Wilds also. They can also be activated if a winning cluster is formed next to them.

The game looks just like it did before with cute Reactoonz characters, it’s well designed, looking and sounding great, as you always expect with Play’N Go slots.

The aim of the game is, of course, to get the Gargantoon out of his jar wreaking Wild havoc eveywhere. The way you do this is pretty complicated to explain but you need to start off by filling the Fluctometer.

Fluctometer

This is located in the top right next to the reels, with every spin you will have one low paying symbol selected in the fluctometer and if you score winning combos with this symbol it will start to fill the Flucometer. Get 11 of the symbol and it will be full and unleash between 1 and 3 Electric Wilds.

Quantumeter

This is filled to let the Energoon and the Gargontoon Escape. This is filled by forming winning clusters with Electric Wilds, each symbol will add one charge point to the Quantumeter. There are 4 levels to this, this first two activate the Energoon Wilds and 3 and 4 trigger the Gargantoon Wild.

The levels of the Quantumeter are as follows:

  • Level 1: 55 Charges
  • Level 2: 85 Charges
  • Level 3: 110 Charges
  • Level 4: 135 Charges

Energoon Wild

If you should just manage to reach level 1 or 2 then you will trigger the Energoon. However, you can still reach level 3 if you continue to charge the quantumeter in the same manner. Level 1 will see four 1×1 Energoon Wilds unleashed onto the grid. Level 2 will see one 2×2 Energoon on the grid.

Gargantoon Wild

Should you manage to get to level 3 or 4 on the Quantumeter you can’t recharge it but you can overcharge it to get a 2x multiplier added to the Gargantoon. After you have reached level 3/4 all the bonuses related to that level will be played out in a row. Starting with the 3×3 Gargantoon Wild (with 2x multiplier if you hit level 4).
