Good news for all residents of Peterborough in the US who enjoy the occasional gamble, on Monday evening at 5pm the doors of the brand new Shorelines Casino will swing open and the casino owners, Ontario Gaming East Limited Partnership, promise everyone visiting, a fully rounded gaming experience in their stunning new casino!
The casino is of course located on Crawford Drive, and if you have passed by it in recent weeks you will have seen a lot of activity, with the delivery of some 500 slot machines being wheeled inside in addition to some 22 brand new gaming tables.
A total of 300 staff are employed at the new casino, all of whom are looking forward to the ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday evening. However, one thing to keep in mind is that there is also an added bonus for anybody who does turn up on the opening evening, for there are some 2500 commemorative gifts being given away that evening.
If you are feeling peckish you are also going to be able to make use of their buffet, which seats some 280 people, or have a fine dining experience at their attractive looking à la carte restaurant instead.
The gaming floor is huge, for it covers some 50,000-square-foot, and whilst those 500 slot machine are going to be offering slot players every type of playing structure, bonus game and jackpots, the table games do include hugely popular games such as Roulette, Baccarat and Blackjack too, so there is something for everyone.
There is of course an added bonus for the residents of Peterborough regarding this Shorelines Casino, and that is the City will get around 5% of the income generated from the slot machines, which it is expected is going to be around $6 million per year.
